Believe or not….I have never tried the famous Klebang Coconut Shake until recently.
And my grandparents’ house is located about one kilometer away.
So near yet so far 😛
The stall is located at Jalan Klebang Besar.
Just look for the Caltex.
The stall is beside the petrol station.
Extracting the coconut meat and water. |
Each blender contains ice, coconut meat and water, some sugar syrup (actually lots of syrup) and vanilla ice cream. The staff would then blend everything. Looks easy, may want to try it at home 🙂 |
This is the special version which comes with a scoop of ice cream. Normal shake (without ice cream) is RM1.50. Special version is RM2.00. If you tapau, an extra 20 cents will be charged. |
They could produce many cups in such short time. |
Look at the long line…people waiting patiently for their coconut shake. And it is not even 12pm yet. |
Verdict: Due to time constraint, we had to tapau the coconut shake. By the time we got home, they were melting. No longer the creamy, thick texture that we saw at the stall. In terms of taste…well., it’s refreshing especially on a hot afternoon. Based solely on my melted shake, it’s not something special. I felt like I’m drinking melted ice cream….hehe. It’s, no doubt, very sweet… thanks to the combination of sugar syrup and ice cream.
Would I come again and join the long queue? Yes, so that I could taste the proper and freshly made coconut shake. And this time, no more tapau 😛
